The Indian government yesterday approved the export of 170,000 metric tonnes of non-Basmati white rice to Malaysia as a special friendly gesture between the two countries.
Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu, also known as Mat Sabu, said that he held talks yesterday with representatives of the Indian government over that country's white rice export restrictions.
