Victims report being electrocuted, beaten up, tortured, and barely compensated after they were tricked into what former Thai PM calls a syndicate for ‘dirty money’ to finance conflict
A total of 326 Malaysians who were victims of overseas job syndicates have been rescued, from 2021 to February 23 this year, according to Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department deputy director (Investigation/Legal), Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa.
The government has been asked to investigate the activities of an unknown Malaysian who deceived locals with job opportunities abroad, where they fell prey to a job scam.
