The 1,020 prisoners currently serving the mandatory death or natural life imprisonment sentences must file their application for review at the Federal Court within three months effective today, said Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reform) Ramkarpal Singh.
A total of 1,020 prisoners who have been sentenced to mandatory death or life imprisonment can now file an application in court to review their respective sentences.
