The Women, Family and Community Development Ministry is looking at ways to encourage greater social interaction and marriage as the nation’s fertility rate declines.
The marriage rate dropped by 0.5% last year, while divorces went up 43.1% in the latest statistics released by the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DoSM) today.
