Thirty-one-year-old Acacia Mardiana Daud lives in constant fear and trauma after being bombarded by “love messages” by Mohd Safiq Rosli, the court heard today.
The magistrates’ court here today set the date for Mohamad Safiq Rosli, 37, to face trial for harassing a female photographer on social media after hearing mitigation submissions from the prosecution led by deputy public prosecutor Zilfinaz Abbas and from defence lawyer Fithril Hakim Ab Jalil.
There will be neither justice nor reform for Mohamad Safiq Rosli’s mental state if he remains in jail, said lawyer Fithril Hakim Ab Jalil in his submission to magistrate Sasha Diana Sabtu today.
Widad Group Bhd, in a response to a Bursa Malaysia query, said it was not aware of any corporate development relating to the group’s business that has not been previously announced that may account for the activity, including those in the negotiation stage or discussion for several business proposals which were still under preliminary discussions.
