Penang Water Supply Corporation chief executive officer, K. Pathmanathan said work to repair leaks in the pipeline at Sg Perai was completed 24 hours ahead of schedule.
Work to fix the clamps to repair the leak in the 1,350mm underwater pipe in Sg Perai here is expected to be completed by 4pm today, said Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.
Penang Water Supply Corporation (PBAPP) will install two new pipes in Sg Perai as a temporary measure after the pipe sprung a new leak yesterday that is deemed irreparable.
