The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) and Bursa Malaysia Bhd have assured investors that the Malaysian stock market’s fundamentals remain strong in light of heightened volatility in certain stocks.
Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd has issued an unusual market activity (UMA) query to Widad Group Bhd on the sharp fall in the price of the company's share price today.
Widad Group Bhd, in a response to a Bursa Malaysia query, said it was not aware of any corporate development relating to the group’s business that has not been previously announced that may account for the activity, including those in the negotiation stage or discussion for several business proposals which were still under preliminary discussions.
