A Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency personnel, who was shot in the eye in a shootout in the Kunak waters yesterday, has lost sight in his left eye.

Kunak shootout: bullet safely removed from MMEA officer’s eye via surgery

The bullet that hit MMEA junior maritime petty officer Zainal Abad Komel in the right eye was surgically removed and he will not need an eye replacement, said Tan Sri Razarudin Husain.
